Job Description:

JPay, Inc. has an opening for a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer who is experienced in Quality Assurance and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.   Candidate should be detailed-oriented and meticulous in review of software applications with a focus on quality philosophies, principles, methods, tools, standards, organizational and team dynamics, interpersonal relationships, and professional ethics.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Establish and manage consistent quality philosophies, principles, methods, tools, standards for each product development cycle.

• Performance testing and measurements.
• Stress testing and measurements.
• Understand systems architecture and be able to recommend improvements to software development and maintenance processes, quantify the fundamental problems and risks associated with various software development methodologies, and assess, support, and implement process and technology changes.
• Thoroughly understand the verification and validation processes, including early software defect detection and removal, inspection, and testing methods (e.g., types, levels, strategies, tools and documentation).
• Contribute to product design to ensure testability and robustness of products and features.
• Counsel and assist the Director of Research & Development and other areas of IT regarding technical matters as required.
• Work with all areas of IT, closely involved in planning, testing and deploying software updates and new systems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor members of the QA team.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 10 years experience in QA work and in the software development environment including formal software testing, analyzing and developing test strategies and plans, test cases, and test execution.
• Strong technical background coupled with in-depth experience testing and troubleshooting software.
• Able to document processes or procedures.
• Able to stay motivated and productive in fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of Agile Methodology and Test-Driven Development is required.
• Excellent time management and problem solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; fluent in English.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• No relocation is provided for this position.
