Location: Philadelphia, PA but would also consider Arlington, VA.

The Role

This position resides within our Marketing Systems Team in IT Corporate Applications and will be responsible for developing and supporting SharePoint Intranet web parts, web services, and workflows. The individual will work with the Intranet Lead and the Marketing department to determine the project requirements for enhancements and new initiatives. This person will have responsibility for developing and interpreting technical specifications used to support interfaces, reports, business rules, and other technical components of the environment, understanding project management concepts and deliverables. This person will need to be able to document and pro-actively address change management and governance issues and assist in creating test plans, test scripts/cases and executing test scripts to test developed objects where applicable.

RESPONSIBILTIES:
• Develop and support SharePoint solutions, web parts, web services, and workflows using industry best practices
• Communicate progress against project plan to project manager or internal client, as appropriate
• Work with Internal Intranet Stakeholders as appropriate to define requirements, manage expectations and assist with the analysis of issues.
• Ensure requirements for changes and enhancements are properly defined, have proper approvals and follow appropriate channels for testing and migrating to test and production environments.
• Be able to develop comprehensive test plans, scripts and cases
• Perform unit and comprehensive testing to ensure overall functionality and technical quality of deliverables
• Troubleshoot technical issues and problems

The Requirements

• Bachelors Degree
• 3+ years work experience developing SharePoint applications (Microsoft SharePoint 2010 & MOSS 2007)
• Must have strong knowledge of ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, .NET Framework, Web Services, XSLT
• Knowledge of Visual Studio 2008/2010
• Knowledge of SQL Server 2005/2008
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, HTML)
• Strong organizational skills; must be able to prioritize, and multi-task
• Proven communication skills; articulate and able to communicate with associates from different functional areas and IT.
• Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to project a positive and professional image.
• Must be able to use critical thinking skills to determine best approach to problem solving.
• Must maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Have a strong aptitude for accuracy and must be detail oriented.
